It’s situated in Bhavnanagar district in Gujarat.

The temples are exquisitely carved in marble, veritable prayers in stone.

The temple covered Shetrunjaya hill, 2000 ft over Palitana town, believed to span 863 shrines in all.

It has some really exquisite marble temples of great religious and artistic importance, containing arches, carved pillars and bejeweled idols.

The Palitana temples are considered the most sacred pilgrimage place by the Jain community.

Palitana houses perhaps the largest cluster of Jain temples anywhere.
